It is soooo cold!

As I looked out of the window this morning, I realised that not only was it cold but I would have to stand in that coldness to get the car ready before the school run.

My eldest was very excited over breakfast as she realised that it might snow.  Which would mean a day off school.  Not the attitude you want I know, but she is only a child once!  I battled with my youngest to get her wrapped up warm.  She really thinks she can leave the house in a skirt and t-shirt! To be honest, she would run about naked if I let her.  As we wrapped up to go outside,  my youngest tried one last ditched attempt to evade tights.  This led to me carrying her out to the car!

The car itself its meant to have some fancy thing on the windscreen that de-ices it for you.  Well that is great but what about the sides?  You still have to wait while that clears.  So I usually just scrap them myself. 

So my thoughts turn to the snow now.  Every year, when it snows, I think 'oh I should have bought wellingtons' or 'I should have bought ....(something else!)' then after the snow you think 'I will  get that next month' until the months run out and it snows again.  So this year I thought I would have a think now before it does snow so at least I am a little ready!  Off I go to buy wellington boots now then.  At least I will be able to run in the snow without wet feet this year!
